Return to House Addition - September

Insulation preparation. Notice the fine mesh on the walls between the living space and garage. Wet cellulose insulation will be packed into these walls and shaved to the surface of the studs. When it dries it will stay packed in place. The other walls do not need the mesh since the exterior plywood acts as a backing. Also note the new 100 Amp circuit breaker box mounted in the studs in photo on right. Here are details of the plumbing behind the tub/shower. Sandy and Jerry took many other photos to provide me a record of how the plumbing and wiring is routed before the insulation was installed. The insulation guys, Larry and Dan, arrived in a truck with large tanks and lots of hose. They have a "shaving" tool that spans the studs and is used to shave off the excess insulation. More photos of the insulation process. The ceilings do not get insulated until after the ceiling drywall is installed. Whoops! Looks like a contractor got stuck in the cold air return!
This ends the photos in September
